Hi, I’m Dr. Zipporah Brown—I specialize in lifestyle and behavioral health coaching, helping people take control of their well-being through sustainable, evidence-based strategies and solutions that fit their unique lives.
I’m proud to be one of only two board-certified lifestyle medicine occupational therapists in the entire state of Oregon, and my career has been dedicated to advancing health equity, empowering individuals, and creating meaningful change in the healthcare landscape.
My Journey & Why I Do This Work
Being the first in my nuclear family to earn a terminal degree has been both an honor and a challenge—an achievement filled with celebration but also uncharted territory to navigate. Along the way, I’ve witnessed far too many loved ones grapple with unaddressed health issues—issues often rooted in stress, trauma, and survival.
I earned my doctorate in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California (#FightOn!), where I specialized in lifestyle redesign interventions—helping individuals transitioning into new phases of life develop habits and routines that support long-term well-being.
My clinical experience has focused on working with adults managing mental and physical health conditions in community-based behavioral health settings. However, beyond the degrees and credentials, my passion for this work is deeply personal.
Research shows that people experience better health outcomes when treated by providers who understand their lived experiences. That’s why I’m committed to increasing access to healthcare that is holistic, personalized, and grounded in real-life solutions.

I work closely with my clients on a personal level, fostering a collaborative approach to setting individualized goals. My expertise lies in empowering individuals to overcome obstacles by focusing on lifestyle optimization through effective activities, habits, routines, and environmental modifications.
I use a coaching approach to support individuals facing challenges often related to chronic health conditions, including but not limited to:
